★ ☆★ ☆★ – 5 Stars!

Captain No Beard: An Imaginary Tale of a Pirate’s Life by Carole Roman has decided to continue her series with Pepper Parrot’s Problem with Patience. This time, new crew member, Pepper Parrot is having a hard time keeping up with the drills. Captain No Beard and his mates join together to help Pepper achieve her goals with patience and tolerance.

The main characters from the first outing: Alexander, Captain No Beard, his cousin Hallie, his first mate, and the stuffed animals Mongo the monkey, Linus the lion and Fribbet the frog, who quite amazingly become animated crew members once Alexander’s bed is transformed in a prate ship, The Flying Dragon.

We loved reading about Captain No Beard again! My daughter yelled “Yay Yay Yay” through the hallway when we was getting ready for a bed time read! Even when Pepper Parrot gets confused on which side of the desk to go, my daughter was smiling and saying, “nooo this way!” It is always a  great thing to know which is right/left and I loved Carole’s approach to this! Again, another awesome book!
