Summary
There’s nothing like a hot kiss on a cold day…

Librarian Maureen O’Connell might have predicted she’d find herself crying into the ice cream case at the supermarket after a bad breakup—but she definitely never imagined that a guy hot enough to melt the Rocky Road would flirt with her right there in the freezer aisle. Only Gavin Fraser isn’t a fantasy, he’s a mouth-watering new flavor…

When a freak snowstorm strands Maureen at Gavin’s after just one date, it’s a perfect excuse for something a lot steamier than hot chocolate in front of the fire. It’s definitely lust. Can it also be love?

Review
I loved the humor in this book. It was definitely a light, quick to the point book. The heroine getting bumped in the beginning was just some of the humor in the novella.

“Are you dumping me? In bed? While we’re still naked?” “Come on, you would have wanted a last hurrah,” he said, slapping her affectionately on her ass. “Anyway, don’t worry about it, I’ll give you plenty of time to find a new place. Now, hush, the weather’s on.”

I really enjoyed this book, especially getting to know Maureen. I never cried in the frozen section staring at Ice Cream, but I am sure some of us have. I also loved Pippa, she was full of spunk. She reminded me a lot of the elders in our lifetime. There is something about them that they give us these little quirky moments that we will eventually thank them later for.

Review
A Tricky Game is an exciting read, especially for those who love psychological thriller, mystery, and a quick, easy read of around 100 pages.
This book was way out of comfort zone, see I am usually curled up with a romance, but man! I was surprised that I really enjoyed A Tricky Game. The book captured me within the first few pages. It was hard to follow with everything going on, but I still did enjoy it.
Angela Moreaux, a young, attractive lady who finds herself a mask man. This book will keep you turning pages with a few sexy scenes.

Grace, who barely remembers how to date, doesn’t expect to meet anyone, and skips the conference in lieu of fresh air and exercise. She’s surprised when the owner of a local ski rental shop, Tray Bradshaw, makes her heart leap with interest and attraction.
When a rogue snowstorm traps the pair in an abandoned cabin on top of the mountain, they’ll get to know each other, and discover that it’s never too late to change…or fall in love.

Review
Oh, what a sweet read! I loved this novella, as it hit close to home. It reminded me so much of my Pawpaw. I lost my Mawmaw in 2004 due to cancer, and to see his loneliness… I begged him to get out, to find someone who he could reconnect with, to help find himself again. I kid you not.. those were my own words to him. My Pawpaw found someone through senior dance night, they fell in love, and got married within a few months. Okay, Okay, back to the book.
I loved it. I loved allllll of it.
Grace was stubborn at first, but who wouldn’t be? I couldn’t imagine losing someone you have always been around, even if it wasn’t the “swoon” love she always wanted. As you read Frosted you get to learn more on the way she thinks of things, and how she pushes just enough because it is so hard to start fresh, or on a new chapter.
Tray, patient, kind, caring… who wouldn’t love that about any man? He was so genuine and I can tell you that you need to read these 75 pages, you will not be disappointed.
Katy, you always amaze me. Thank you for writing such a heartfelt story, even for the elders. Ahh, Bring on more Grace!

Review
I loved the first book of this series: Againat the Odds: A Love Story, it was so powerful; however, I lost that power in this read. Something was missing, maybe Adams was trying to make this a series, and had to rush to get it done. I wish there was more to the book/plot, and a more of a sequel to the first book. This book put you years later with no real change. Unrealistic on a lot of things, I don’t know I just didn’t feel for it like I did with the first one.
My opinion: I think it would have been a better touch if we jumped into Joy’s world and how she prayed. The Joy situation just felt very unrealistic as well. However, the love Hayden & Raine have is so great! I love reading about them.
Adams’ writing style is awesome, I just wish the book had more heat, passion, and love.

About the Author
(Jewel) Adams stays crazy busy with her family and writing. She has written several books in different genres and is also a motivational speaker to both youth and adult audiences. She home schools her four kids that are still at home, and between that and conjuring up new ideas for her books, her brain is completely fried most of the time. She and her husband Sean are the parents of eight children, which means they are both losing hair, but hey, that’s what Rogaine is for, right? In her spare time (when she has any) she likes to curl up with a good book and a healthy stash of orange Tic Tacs. She and her family reside in Utah. Jewel loves hearing from her fans, so if you would like to contact her to tell her how much you love her books or give her sympathy for the fried brain, or suggestions for the hair loss problem (for my husband, of course)
