Deceived Part 1 – New York (120 pages)
When Chloe Swanson, an innocent mid-western college graduate, lands her dream job in New York City, she doesn’t realize what kind of a ride she’s in for.
It doesn’t take long before her boss, the charming and sharp businessman Patrick Collins, deceives her into being part of his plan to land the biggest account of his life.
However, he never expected that he would fall for her. Suddenly, he finds himself trapped between a ruthless billionaire client, who has her own eyes set on Patrick, and his deep affection for the beautiful Chloe.
What follows is a sensual and passionate journey of self-discovery, as Chloe faces the harsh reality of jealousy, love and money in the big city.
Easy to read, great for when you are wanting a quick read on a bus, train, or before bed. It a light read. There is some chemistry, romance, some wordy of words, but overall I enjoyed the fast paced book.
Chloe, sure, she seems like she hasn’t had much in the department with romance, seems to jump to a lot of conclusions, but I loved her personality. You really get to know the characters as individuals as well as when relationships build between couples, and friendships. I can’t wait to see what will happen next! Love the butt print impression on the glass desk. ❤ Will forever remember that.
I was raw with desire. Like the waves of the ocean rolling over me, my passion for Patrick swelled and crashed, the heat of the moment sweeping me under the unbidden ordain.
Over time, we all commit acts with intentions, either good or bad, that require forgiveness and this would take a lot of forgiving.
