FindingNarragansett

Book Description:
For years, Julian has kept her emotional struggle a secret from her mother. Now at twenty-one, she’s still unsure whether she should once and for all learn about the family that didn’t accept her, or continue living her life with the emptiness in her heart.
Jules finally makes the decision to return to Narragansett, Rhode Island after 10 years, upon hearing the news of her father’s death. It’s supposed to be an ‘in and out’ trip—make peace with her heart, then return to Manhattan immediately. Only, she has no idea just what her deceased father has in store for her.
Several obstacles continue to prolong her stay, and over time, Jules finds herself starting to trust the family that had denied her in the past.
But just as she starts to discover the other side that was missing, Julian gets entangled in a web of lies and unexpectedly finds romance amidst it all.

Summary
All Moya Douglas wants to do is study hard, maintain her scholarship, and make her mother proud while attending college. She doesn’t have time for a boyfriend or going on dates arranged by her best friend. Moya doesn’t believe in love. And she has no intention of ever finding it.
Branden McCarthy is determined to change her views.
A selfless romantic who’s had his heart broken in the past, Branden is fascinated with Moya’s personality and hopes to develop something real with her—a connection so strong it’ll open her heart. But just when things start to work between the two, Branden’s secret threatens to get in the way.
Will Moya finally do the impossible and give love a chance with Branden, or will fear keep them apart?
New Adult novel about finding love and oneself.

Review
I could not put Impossibly Love down, and I read it completely in one sitting. Man, the story line hit close to home with the understanding of Moya’s past. I guess it is why I found it so hard to put the book down.
When I met my husband, I was guarded, lost, and closed off to the world. I know how hard it is when you have been hurt over and over again. I love how Shane captured the hurt, feelings, and brought it into the book.
Branden’s stubbornness, I guess you can say, is what brought light to the book. I loved the way his story told it from his point of view, and the way he thought things through. He didn’t have to be the bad guy to get her attention, or want to take Moya immediately to his room. He wanted to get to know her, know about her, and it definitely gave the book a rounded aspect.
Branden’s secret will have you either biting your tongue to hold back tears, or needing the tissues beside you as you read deeper into the book.
Impossibly Love is rated G, it is definitely a sweet clean romance, and I completely enjoyed it.
